Description: 

Course participants will examine the representation and exclusion of people with disabilities in civil rights movements, critically evaluate the reasons for this neglect, and explore the role of mass media in shaping societal views of people with disabilities. An understanding of how educational contexts and practices support or diminish the presence of students with disabilities in mainstream school spaces and anti-ableist curricular representation will be supported.

Toward Inclusivity: Transforming Classrooms Through Anti-Ableist Practices
