While our neighboring states like Tennessee, Ohio, and Indiana are making significant investments in their educators, including one proposal to raise salaries to a starting minimum of $50,000, the Kentucky General Assembly continues to ignore educator salaries, allowing Kentucky to slip to 44th in the nation for starting teacher salaries and 48th for school support staff.
