FRANKFORT, KY (August 4, 2023) – The Kentucky Education Association was saddened to learn that Dr. Jason Glass will be leaving his post as Commissioner of Education at the end of September. Dr. Glass is an innovative leader who keeps the best interests of all Kentucky school students foremost in his decision making.

Dr. Glass has been an excellent partner in the work of improving Kentucky’s public schools. He understands the importance of involving all stakeholders, including educators, parents, and community, and actively sought that input throughout his tenure. He respects differences, values diversity, and has been exceptionally courageous in his public advocacy on those important issues. Western Michigan University is certainly lucky to have him, and we hope his many talents and leadership style will be appreciated there. KEA wishes Dr. Glass and his family all the best.
