The Teachers’ Retirement System of Kentucky is taking nominations for two vacancies on its governing board. An ACTIVE TEACHER representative and a LAY representative will be elected during the spring of 2026, each for a 4 year term that will begin on July 1, 2026 and will expire on June 30, 2030.
Eligible candidates for the ACTIVE trustee position must be currently employed in a teaching position in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and must be actively contributing to TRS.
Eligible candidates for the LAY trustee position must be a person who is not a member of the teaching profession and who does not contribute to or receive an annuity from TRS.
Eligible TRS participants may nominate themselves or may be nominated by others.
The TRS Nominating Committee will convene in early February 2026 to select two (2) nominees for each trustee position to be placed on the ballot.
