KEA is the largest and one of the oldest professional association in Kentucky with 16 offices located around the state. KEA has been advocating for children and for public education since 1857. KEA represents a large cross section of educators, including certified employees, classified education support professional employees, college students preparing to become teachers, and retired educators. All eligible employees who elect to join KEA during the spring enrollment
period will not pay dues until the first payroll deduction of the 2008-09 school
year. Early enrollment members are not eligible for legal services
administered through the KEA ULSP or for coverage through the NEA Educators
Employment Liability Program until September 1, 2008.
