KEA delegates were among more than 9000 delegates attending the NEA Representative Assembly in Washington, DC July 1-6, 2008. Delegates attended sessions, conducted business and elected officers.

The Boone County Education Association (BCEA) held their annual retirement tea May 15, 2008 in the Boone County High School Library.

Sara Runge-Pulte, NKU KEA-SP advisor and KEA-SP members Lauren Salyers, Brooke Helmer, Alecia Petroze, and Amanda Lageman helped set up and staff the booth sponsored by KEA-NKEA at the annual 2008 Career Crawl at Turfway Park in Florence, KY, on Friday, May 9, 2008. Over 1000 area graduating seniors attended the event. KEA-SP members encouraged students to consider a career in education.

KESPA delegates held their pre-delegate caucus meeting March 14-16 in Frankfort. Joe Hamlin was ESP of the Year, and Jim Sproul was the 2008 Friend of KESPA recipient. Barbara Reeves, Barbara Durham and Nancy Toombs prepared for the meeting. Jessamine County, Kenton County and Boone County delegates are featured in the photos.

In celebration of NEA's Read Across America, Montgomery County Education Association purchased sets of Dr. Seuss books and stuffed "Horton" toys for each of the elementary schools in their local district.
