The annual Winter Conference sponsored by KEA’s Student Program is planned for Saturday, February 15 on the campus of Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. Download a flyer here.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the opening session will start at 8:45 a.m. Following that, students will be able to attend two professional development workshops during the morning: “Gifted and Talented: Overlooked and Underserved” and “What Every Teacher Should Know About KY School Laws.” Lunch will begin at 11:45 a.m. and after lunch, three professional development workshops will be offered and students will be able to attend two. Topics for the afternoon workshops include: “Positive Parent Interaction,” “Classroom Management – Tricks and Ideas” and “Surviving the First Day of School.” There will be a closing session from 2:50 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. to wrap-up the day’s activities.
