Sharron K. Oxendine, President of the Kentucky Education Association, begins her tenure after having taught mathematics at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. She is a twenty-one year veteran of Kentucky Public Schools and a native of Knox County, Kentucky where she graduated from Knox Central High School and Union College. Her KEA leadership positions have been at the local, district, state and national levels. Ms. Oxendine was elected KEA President in April 2007.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Tom Denton, Vice-President of the Kentucky Education Association, is from Jefferson County. Mr. Denton began his career in Louisville assisting Emotional / Behavior disordered students. He taught in Perry County, Bullitt County and returned to Jefferson County as an ECE resource English Teacher. Through his career, he has served in local, district and state leadership positions. Mr. Denton was elected KEA Vice-President in April 2007.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

Mary Ann Blankenship, became KEA's Executive Director in September 2005, following a 25-year career as an association staff member. She previously served as a KEA UniServ staff member in Jefferson County and worked in KEA's communications and negotiations offices. Mary Ann also worked for the Maryland State Teachers Association, the National Education Association, and the Tennessee Education Association. She began her career teaching English and French in Lexington.
