Dues-Tab This valuable, free insurance coverage is provided by the NEA Members Insurance Trust to all Active, Reserve, Staff and Life members. Life members must be actively employed in the field of education. NEA Term Life Insurance Underwritten by The Prudential Insurance Company of America, NEA Term Life provides up to $300,000 of scheduled life insurance coverage for members, their spouses, and dependents. No medical exam is required. NEA Preferred Term Life Insurance Underwritten by Minnesota Life Insurance Co., NEA Preferred Term is an affordable way to enjoy a large amount of insurance protection with the dual advantage of a level premium and a level benefit. Choose up to $750,000 of coverage for 10-, 15-, or 20-year terms. NEA members and the spouses of insured NEA members are eligible for coverage. Guaranteed Issue Life Plan This plan is offered exclusively to NEA-Retired members age 55 and over. Coverage is guaranteed and no medical exam is required. This plan is underwritten by The Prudential Insurance Company of America. Level Premium Term Life Plan A member can receive absolutely free for six months, up to $25,000 of term life insurance protection. The premium is determined by age at the time the policy is issued, and will not increase until age 70. During the introductory period, the premium is paid by the NEA Members Insurance Trust. This coverage is underwritten by the Prudential Insurance Company of America. NEA Home Protection Plan A member can help protect mortgage payments against loss of life, loss of income due to total disability, and loss of income due to involuntary unemployment.* Benefits are paid directly to the member or the beneficiary, not the bank. (*Certain restrictions apply.) This protection plan is administered by NEA Members Insurance Trust. NEA Premier Accidental Death Insurance Members can get 24-hour worldwide Accidental Death and Dismemberment protection up to $120,000 at home or away, and up to $520,000 while traveling on a public conveyance. Just $19 a year covers the entire family. Members cannot be turned down for coverage. This plan is underwritten by Minnesota Life Insurance Company. In-Hospital and Medicare Supplemental Health Programs NEA MemberCare is a portfolio of health plans from which a member can select a plan that meets his or her needs to supplement existing insurance protection. The programs are underwritten by NEA Members Insurance Trust. Income Protection Insurance Iincome protection insurance for NEA/KEA members is underwritten by American Fidelity Assurance Company. Members may choose a program to help protect their most valuable asset - the ability to work and earn an income. The program is available to teachers, and administrative and secretarial members actively working in the field of education. Homeowners Insurance One company underwrites homeowners insurance for KEA/NEA members: California Casualty's A+ Auto & Home Insurance. Long-Term Care Program This new program provides financial assistance to members should they ever need long-term disability, home health, or convalescent care. The younger a member joins the program, the lower the premiums will be for life. This program is administered by National Health Administrators. KEA Dental Program This statewide dental program allows you to choose from two dental plans with affordable premiums. Payment can be made by check or credit card.
