African Americans Who Made Kentucky History
KEA began work on the African Americans who Made Kentucky History reference set with the goal of creating a database of planning resources for teachers wishing to incorporate the lives, works and achievement of Kentuckians of African descent into their lesson plans across the curriculum, throughout the school year.
African Americans Who Made Kentucky History includes records on 48 ground-breaking men and women who helped shape the history, culture and quality of life of Kentucky and the United States. Each record contains citations to online resources and links to Kentucky Core Content Guidelines, for use in elementary, middle and secondary classroom lesson plans.
