Impact of furloughs on KTRS employees

As a result of language in the 2010 budget bill, all Executive Branch employees are subject to furlough during the 2010-11 fiscal year. This plan does not affect employees of the public school districts or KCTCS employees.  Affected employees who contribute to KTRS will not lose any service credit as a result of the furloughs.  Read the attached memo from Gary Harbin, Executive Secretary of KTRS, for all the details.  Answers to frequently asked questions about the furloughs can be found at http://personnel.ky.gov/furlough.
