Debunking KARE’s Misrepresentations

A group called Kentuckians Advocating for Reform in Education is making the case for charter schools by misrepresenting Kentucky public schools’ record of success. In fact, 30 states with charter schools ranked lower than Kentucky in the recent Quality Counts, which ranked Kentucky 14th in the nation, up 20 places from last year. The Prichard Committee’s blog has also looked into KARE’s ads and found several problems with their data.
