The second annual KEA RESPECT conference, the only professional learning conference for education support professionals in Kentucky public schools, was held Saturday, June 11 at Athens-Chilesburg Elementary School in Lexington. Dozens of Kentucky public school employees attended to take advantage of workshops on subjects that ranged from financial planning, effective use of social media and communications to preventing bullying and responding to the presence of an active shooter in school.
The feature presentation of the day was an hour-long question and answer session with Dr. Stephen Pruitt, Kentucky’s Commissioner of Education and KEA President Stephanie Winkler.
