Megan Boimann-Hennies, a social studies teacher at Fort Thomas Highlands High School, is the 2nd Annual Northern Kentucky Education Association (NKEA) Teacher of the Year. On Thursday, January 9, 2014, she was presented with an Award Trophy from NKEA and also a $500 check from NKEA during a surprise reception at her school. Fort Thomas Highlands High School Principal Brian Robinson, who nominated her for this award, will be receiving a check from NKEA for $100. A plaque engraved with Megan Boimann-Hennies’ name will stand in recognition of her achievement at the local KEA office.
As the recipient of the 2013-2014 NKEA Teacher of the Year Award, Megan Boimann-Hennies’ application will be forwarded to the Kentucky Education Association (KEA) to compete for 2014 KEA Teacher of the Year that will be given during this year’s KEA Delegate Assembly in Louisville, April 2-4, 2014.
